Well as you can see there are a whole host of changes about the site, that I have been tinkering with for most of today.
Just a note there are still a lot of things I want to do but I need to find out how to do them first but I’ll explain the plans laters.
The first and most noteable change is the homepage, I noticed on the stats page, that only the content on the front page was getting a significant number of hits, so in response I have added room for the Gaming and Live Action categories, which gives pretty much all our Main Categories front page coverage.
The Featured Reviews section on the right has been replaced by the Musical Interest section instead as Album Artwork fits in the custom image section nicely.
Drop Down Menu's FTW!
I have also discovered the wonders of Parent Categories and now if you hover over the categories at the top, a drop down list for most appears with the sub-categories e.g. Code Geass under Anime.
Now as I said at the beginning I still have more I want to do, firstly and mainly I want to adjust the Category and Archive pages so that each post can be viewed by a small image and a blurb of text, very similar to what has been done on http://www.darkmirage.com
New homepage seems nice. I feel like having a homepage cover for each category is nice, but can also get pretty cluttered, but I look forward to the final design.
