A new system update for the Xbox 360 has been released today allowing you to use a USB pen drive as extra storage. Only up to 16GB of space can be used for the Xbox 360 as storage for user profiles, game saves, demos and more

The remaining space of your pen drive will not be affected and can be used as normal. You can have up to 2 devices connected to the Xbox 360 at a time, which means 32GB of storage in total.

Configuration is not automatic, you will need to configure it via the memory area in system settings, select your USB Device, and choose from Configure Now (Format and Configure the Full Device). The “Customize” option allows you to choose how much memory you want your Xbox 360 to use.

Microsoft and Sandisk is partnering to release an Xbox 360 branded USB flash drive in May.

This is something I have desperately been waiting form since its too much hassle to move my xbox and TV every time I go home, and I really just don’t like taking the HDD off. Finally I can take my profile and fav RB DLC home without any effort YAYAYAYA!
